Environmental Project Manager

Job Summary
Global Remediation Technologies, Inc. (GRT) is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Environmental Project Manager and/or Environmental Engineer to lead and manage key elements of environmental investigations and remediation projects. This position requires excellent engineering and writing skills, creativity and attention to detail along with working knowledge of environmental compliance regulations.  GRT’s team of professionals helps manage an interesting and diverse portfolio of contaminated sites within the State of Michigan and we are looking for a new team-member to join us!


Primary Focus

  • Project management - project planning, financial stewardship, field team coordination, etc.

  • Investigation strategy development

  • Remedial investigation data assessment/reporting

  • Risk assessment and feasibility study preparation

  • Conceptual site model development

  • Pilot study and remediation systems design

  • Remediation system operation oversight

  • NPDES and air permit compliance

  • Performance monitoring plan preparation and management

  • Subcontractor RFPs, scheduling, and management

Desired Education/Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geological Sciences. PE license,

PG license, CPG certification, and/or MS degree a plus.

 

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in environmental professional field

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in environmental sciences

  • Knowledge of applicable environmental compliance regulations

  • Committed to customer service and worker health and safety

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office-based software programs

Additional Information

Environmental Scientist

Job Summary

Global Remediation Technologies, Inc. (GRT) is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist to carry out field and office assignments within Michigan. Principal tasks will include collection of environmental data and preparing elements of project deliverables. The selected candidate will have an eye for detail, an interest in the sciences, the ability to interact and correspond with a wide variety of people, and work as part of a greater team. This position requires approximately 60% travel time to various locations within the state of Michigan.


Primary Focus

  • Collection and submittal of environmental samples (water, soil, vapor) for laboratory analysis

  • Detailed and accurate documentation of field activities

  • Assistance with executing remedial investigations (borehole/well installation, soil logging, etc.)

  • Operation and maintenance of environmental equipment and/or remediation systems

  • Analytical data reduction

  • Development of monitoring reports

​

Desired Education/Licensure

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Biology, Ecology, or related field.

 

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 0-3 years’ experience in environmental professional field

  • Critical thinker with ability to juggle multiple tasks independently or within team setting

  • Well organized and efficient time-management skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office-based software programs
